What’s up Classlete Nation! Do these 5 tips to make your user profile stand out and other coaches as well as your competition won’t be able to take their eyes off of you.
If you are a high school student athlete and haven’t joined Classlete.com yet, what are you waiting for?
We are all super excited about our beta launch and helping high school student athletes #BalanceItAll between their athletics, academics and social life.
Thus far we have been searching our community for the best user profiles and wanted to provide 5 tips on how to make your profile stand out on Classlete.com.
Tip #1 – Post Accurate Info
Nothing is worse than having a potential college coach, district rival or teammate view your profile on Classlete.com and learn that what you posted is an inaccurate representation of the truth.
Do your best to keep your profile updated and as real to life as possible, especially for the areas such as your:
Avatar photo
Height, weight and location details
Sport, Position you play and Stats
G.P.A. and Community Service/Volunteer Hours
Your posted social media links to Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Tip #2 – Complete Your User Profile 100%
Currently, there are 6 elements that make up your user profile. We have created a User Profile Tracker that will track your progress in completing your user profile 100%, which will then earn you your first Classlete Badge and Points. Here is what each area is worth in terms of progression:
1. Basic Info – 20%
2. Additional Info – 20%
3. Stats – 20%
4. Social Media – 20%
5. Uploading Your Avatar Photo (JPG or PNG file)
6. Uploading a video clip by embedding your YouTube video – 10%
Remember to click the “Edit Profile” button to access the Basic Info, Additional Info, Stats and Social Media areas.
Tip #3 – Create and Share Your Classlete Sports Card
Members who create and share their Classlete Sports Card, get more profile views than those that don’t. You will also earn a Classlete Points and a Classlete Badge for doing so as well.
So once you’ve 100% completed your user profile, you will be prompted to complete a 15-part multiple answer Classlete Survey. Be careful on how you answer. Your Classlete Survey results will essentially not only help you create your Classlete Sports Card, but it will determine your Classlete Type.
Once you have finished the Classlete Survey, you will be shown your Classlete Sports Card for review.
And then you will be able to share it with your friends on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook by clicking the “Social Media” tab in your user profile and selecting which social network you wish to upload and share your Classlete Sports Card to.
Tip #4 – Invite and Make Connections to New Friends/Followers OR Invite
After your user profile is completed and you’ve shared your Classlete Sports Card, you should show off your athletic, academic and community accomplishments further by inviting your friends to join Classlete.com.
More detail on how to do so will be providing soon.
Once your friends have joined Classlete.com or if you want to browse our Members tab area in the navigation menu, select a member and start following them to keep updated on all their activity on Classlete.com as a high school student athlete.
And you guessed it – you will receive a Classlete Points and Badges for doing so as well.
Notice the pattern yet?
Tip #5 – Engage with the Community By Sharing, Liking and Commenting
Last but not least, to make your profile stand out and have an activity feed that has more entries on it than your game day stat sheet, start engaging (i.e. sharing, liking and commenting) on the rich content that Classlete.com provides by:
Listening to our Classlete Podcast episodes available on Apple Podcasts and Stitcher Radio, which will feature guest interviews from everyone such as an Olympian, a sports neuroscientist, a popular TV sports media personality, a respected strength and conditioning coaches and much more.
Checking out our Classlete Podcast episodes from our Classlete Alumni Series of interviewing past high performing professional or collegiate athletes whose aim is to pass on words of wisdom and hilarious stories about their successes, mistakes and failures as a student athlete back in their glory days.
Reading our blog, which will provide video or written content on anything from The Top 5 Must Have Apps for High School Athletes to How To Tell He or She is Right For You as a High School Athlete. As long as the topic revolves around the life of a student athlete, expect to see it highlighted, discussed and debated here on Classlete.com.
Each piece of content posted on Classlete.com will provide the ability for members to share it using the plugins provided on the page to the majority of social media sites out there, “Like” it, and comment on it.
And yup, you guessed it again – by doing so you will earn more Classlete Points and Badges.
